MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY PHILOSOPHY

My style of wedding photography focuses on capturing natural, authentic and meaningful moments of your day, no matter how big or small. 

It’s important that we get to know each other so that together we can create a timeline that reflects the atmosphere you’d like and so that I can further understand how to best capture your story. 

I believe wedding photography should be unintrusive and pride myself on stepping back and allowing you to enjoy your day, opposed to feeling as though you’re at a photoshoot. Should I offer guidance during the Couple Session, this is more in subtle cues to allow for natural interaction and connection. 

I aim to capture the overall ‘feeling’ of your day alongside those subtle unscripted moments that you wouldn’t have noticed. I hope to ensure that the final gallery transports you back, re-living each moment together long after your day is finished. Ultimately, I’m here to work with you to capture your day in the best way possible.

For the nostalgic couple - Film photography undergoes a different process to digital photography with images undergoing a chemical process in a lab. The end product is grainy, vintage and perfectly imperfect.

I love engagement shoots! I think they are a great way to get some fun relaxed photos of you and your partner in your element. It’s always so much fun exploring somewhere new with my couples.

It’s a great way to spend time in front of the camera before the big day and to realise - it’s not actually scary! Trust me, you will walk away feeling so glad you made the time to get some beautifully candid photos of you and your partner.

2. Let’s Meet

Whether it’s in person or on zoom, it’s important to me to get to know you both. 

3. Lock It In

Once you’ve finalised your deposit and signed the contract, you’re officially booked in. 

4. Nail the Details

I’ll be in contact throughout the planning process to ensure your day runs as smooth as possible - From organising the timeline to scouting location spots. 

5. THE WEDDING.

You’ve done the planning, now it’s time to relax and enjoy each moment as I capture them 

6. Sneak Peeks

2-5 days after the wedding you will be sent 5-7 sneak peeks! Just to get you super exciting for the full gallery.

7. You’ve Got Mail

Your photos have been sent through to you in the form of a digital gallery. It’s time to settle in with a glass of wine and re-live your special day. 

8. Share the Gallery

If you wish you can send the gallery to your loved ones where they can make the most of the print feature. 

9. Share the Love

Make the most of the web definition images and share them on your social media if you wish. If you do, please be sure to tag me - @aqstudio_weddings 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I’m based out of sunny Sydney, Australia however I love to frequently travel for weddings. My dream wedding destinations are Tuscany, New York, Lake Como and the Greek Islands.

  • From the day after the wedding I’ll be working on your wedding album! This often takes 6-8 Weeks.

  • Second shooters can be a great investment to capture every angle of your day. When deciding upon a second shooter here are a few questions to consider: Are you planning on getting ready more than 15 minutes away from each other or at the same time? Are you wanting photos of the ceremoy and receptions styling before guests arrive? Do you have a large guestlist and want to ensure we get shots of everyone that’s there on the day? If the answer is yes to any of these, a second shooter may be a good option for you.

  • Yes! I love to travel and capture wedding stories around the world. A few of my dream wedding destinations include Tuscany, New York, Lake Como & the Greek Islands. If you have any additional questions around travel please reach out.

  • I do! I’m currently working on a Recommended Vendor List of curated luxury vendors to make choosing a little easier for you. Stay tuned!

  • A couple of days after your wedding, you’ll receive 5 - 7 photos to give you a taste of what’s to come (and get you excited). 8 weeks later, you’ll receive an online gallery where you can download all of your images (both high and web-resolution). Around the same time, I will send you a package in the mail with a little personal thank you from me.

  • Depending on your chosen wedding coverage and package, you will receive approximately 600+ carefully edited photos. For elopements, you will receive between 150-250 and for engagement shoots approximately 60.

  • I simply require a 25% deposit to finalise your booking with the full amount to be paid 4 weeks prior to your wedding date.

So, whats next? I would love to set up a time to either meet in person over a coffee or a drink. If you aren’t local or if Zoom is easier for you, that works for me too. This is the perfect time to get to know one another and to make sure we are the right fit. It’s also the perfect time for you to go wild with whatever questions you might have for me!

I think it’s so important to meet my couples to make sure we are a great fit for one another before with lock anything in. I want you to feel comfortable and confident in your decision when booking with me so you can focus on the finer details in prepping for your big day!

It’s important to note that dates do move quickly and I do book quite far in advance. So if you are wanting to make the next step in booking, let me know so we can avoid any disappointment.
